Indeed, dear friend. There are many photographs of Pompeii out there, but this one… and when i look the man’s face, his body position and the way he hugs the child is something can’t deal easy with it. To me, this scene has something which doesn’t belong to the world as we know it. Difficult to describe it.
Great pictures. Went there last Christmas. It was truly a wonderful place! 😉

I have not seen this photo of Pompeii before. Very moving. I can’t imagine what it was actually like to be there on that day of the eruption.
