Great song with a powerful message.
Indeed, Ally. I was a kid when i first listened to this song. I was touched by the melody, and the unusual slow singing style of Elvis. I couldn’t understand very well the whole message, back then. I didn’t even knew what ghetto is or means. Now, i appreciate the lyrics and the song so much more, since the poet who wrote the lyrics describes a reality.
